How long does it usually take you to setup user authentication, a Postgres database, and a nice Bootstrap template when you're building a new web application?
For me, it usually took 2-3 hours of setup work. But it doesn't make sense to do the exact same setup every time you want to create a new Django project. Using Django in Minutes starter projects, you can have all of this setup in under 5 minutes!
This Django Starter App implements:
Postgres DB
All Auth for User Authentication
Bootstrap SB Admin Template
Most web apps have a common initial configuration -- and there is no reason to spend hours doing the exact same config over and over for each new project. This is the first in a series of starter Django projects that follow common starting app patterns.
Following this repo will enable you to setup a standard development environment, web app, and deploy to Heroku in less than 5 minutes and with fewer than ten lines of code (seriously) -- thank you Docker.
