This tutorial covers State Management using the #React Context API through a practical example of building a web game (#AmongUs) using #NextJS. The React Context API was introduced as an alternative to third-party solutions for state management of a React app like Redux, for example.

We go over the basics and how you can type your contexts correctly if using TypesScript. In this case, we were able to exchange information between two distinct pages, sharing a player name that was collected through a custom made input on a custom-built modal styled with TailwindCSS.
