Ep1 Ecommerce Website Development Series 2025 | Next js Python TailwindCSS FastAPI Docker PostgreSQL
Ecommerce Website Development with Next js 15, Python, TailwindCSS, FastAPI, Docker and PostgreSQL.
In this video, I'm setting up the environment for developing Ecommerce Website.
Set up is as follows: -
1. For Frontend, I'm using Next js, which can be set up with command: npx create-next-app@latest
2. Here, you will get option to install TailwindCSS, while installing Next js.
3. For Backend, first create a virutal environment, with command: virtualenv VIRTUAL_ENV_NAME.
4. virtualenv is a python module which you have to install via pip.
5. To setup Docker PostgreSQL, first install Docker in your computer.
6. Then, search for PostgreSQL image for docker.
7. Follow the steps to download Docker image and create Docker Container.
Voila! you are all good to go.

Then, for authentication page, I've created a route to /auth endpoint in Next js, so you will go to that page, when need to be authenticated.
