For those finding it difficult to form the logic for problems like the above one, I would suggest you to make your way for the solution by writing down the steps to solve it logically be it a mathematical question or anything other than that.
After doing that, try to implement each step individually with code, again be it C++, Python, Java, or any other language, what is more important is how well you understood the problem statement and how well can you deconstruct the problem and form a step by step logical solution and then implement it.
Doing this will make the problem much simpler to an extent.
And at the end, its all practice that will make you!
