Attributes and properties - Basic JavaScript Fast (52) | setAttribute, getAttribute, dataset
This video discusses the relationship between the attributes in HTML and the properties in DOM nodes. Standard attributes can be converted to DOM properties, but the non-standard ones cannot. To access the non-standard attributes, we use the "attributes" method. We can also get, set or remove an attribute, too. The conversion between HTML attributes and DOM properties are synchronized. Though the attribute value is a string, the corresponding DOM property value can be of other data types. Finally, we discuss the dataset property of DOM nodes, which helps to organize our custom attributes for easy access.
