1. Variables are containers for storing data values ie. a Python variable is a reserved memory location to store values.
2. They also provide a way of labeling data with a descriptive name, so our programs can be understood more clearly by the reader.
3. Variables do not need to be declared with any particular type.
4. Casting : Change the data type of a variable (for example, if you have x as an integer, say x = 5, and you want to change it to a string, you put : x = str(x) )
