📚About
This video shows you a DIY IoT Plant watering reminder system through Tuya IoT gadgets and Tuya Cloud platform using Python. We use the following devices:
❤️💚💙RGB LED strip which is turned off when the plant needs to be watered, else it lights on (hence a reminder to water the plant)
💧🌡🔌 Humidity/Temperature sensor which constantly monitors the humidity of the plant.
📶 📶 📶 A zigbee smart gateway since the sensor is a zigbee device and we need a means of communication between the sensor and our wifi access point.
Our IoT Plant watering reminder system is a legacy based system and could be easily built up upon. For example, a watering gadget could be added to water the plant when the LED strips turn off. This project is open source and anyone is free to use it.
