OpenStack has been powering private cloud infrastructure in data centres for 10 years now. But what about the edge? Can you really use OpenStack at the edge where resources are limited, deployments have to be straightforward and repeatable, operations have to be fully automated and organisations cannot afford human interaction?

In this presentation, we introduce MicroStack: a pure upstream OpenStack distribution, designed for enabling OpenStack on the edge. MicroStack is part of Canonical's Microcloud solution which facilitates running lightweight VMs and containers inside of a single stack, consisting of well-known mature technologies. https://microstack.run/
