Clockify Tutorial: Integrations
Learn how to integrate Clockify and track time with other apps.
Welcome. In this tutorial, we’ll share some tips and tricks on how to use Clockify more efficiently.
-INTEGRATIONS-
In addition to tracking time in Clockify, you can also track time within other web apps.
For example, you can track time on to-dos in Trello, documents in Google Docs, emails in Gmail, and more.
To get the timer button to appear in those apps, install the Clockify extension for Chrome or Firefox, log in, and the button will appear.
Let’s take Trello as an example, a popular app for managing tasks. When you open a to-do in Trello, you'll see the timer button there. When you click it, the timer will start and the extension's icon will become blue.
When you open the extension, you’ll see that Clockify picked up the task’s name, and it picked up the name of the board as the project.
If the project doesn’t exist in Clockify, the extension can create it, but you first have to enable it in Settings.
If you wish to use the extension, but don't want to see the button in some websites, you can turn it off here, in integrations.
In case you’re using a self-hosted version of some app, you’ll need to open Integrations, scroll down, enter your domain, select the app, and click Add.

In case Clockify doesn’t have an integration with some app, you can select a piece of text, right-click on it, and start the timer that way.
