The arithmetic operators like +, -, * and / can be applied on arrays. The arithmetic operators operates on arrays element wise. The corresponding elements in the arrays will be manipulated. The @ operator or dot() function performs dot product multiplication of arrays. The arithmetic operators on arrays not modifying the input arrays but create a new resultant array.
Applying compound assignment operators on arrays manipulate the input arrays. An array can be manipulated by applying compound assignment operators.
