git fetch VS git pull

Since I’ve been learning a lot about git and version control lately I would like to bring up this topic. It confuses a heck out of me. Figured I shall share with you all 🤗

🔷Git fetch is like you’re sending out your computer as a dog to retrieve information from other branch. You’re not updating or changing anything you simply just reading information

🔷Git pull is the combination of git fetch + git merge. Meaning you’re not only reading information from the remote branch but also updating your branch with their information.
