Want to draw cool shapes in Python with just one function? 🐢✨
This is where iteration and recursion are made 4 dimensional. In this beginner-friendly Turtle module tutorial, we’ll explore how the circle() function works and how you can use it to create triangles, squares, polygons, and more!
🟢 ^^^ NOTE^^^ - Incase I didn't mention or show in the video, to use the Turtle module, your first line of code will be:
import turtle (then on the next line)
from turtle import * (the "*", allows you to pull everything from that module without having to name them all.)
🟢 ^^^LASTLY^^^ - Before you can import turtle, you must run the command: pip install turtle (in your terminal) Be that, of your computer, or if you are using an IDE that has a terminal, like PyCharm, which I use, you can pip install turtle there.
🟢 If anyone has issues or questions please reach out and I will respond as soon as I see it and help.
👉 In this video, you’ll learn:
The 3 arguments of turtle.circle() (radius, extent, steps)
How to draw circles, arcs, and custom shapes
How steps turns a circle into polygons (triangle, square, hexagon, etc.)
Creative ways to use circle() for fun designs
By the end, you’ll know how to create all kinds of shapes — with just one function. Perfect for beginners learning Python and Turtle graphics!🐢✨
