In this video, we take a look at Codecademy's "Create a Variable: const" lesson and go over JavaScript const Variable 2023 Programming for Beginners! Specifically, we go into the const variable in JavaScript. Understanding the different types of variables in JavaScript 2023 and beyond is important for anyone who is serious about becoming a programmer today. We have learned that var and let allow us to reassign values to our variables, but the thing about the const keyword in JavaScript is that we can only assign it one value. Actually, we must assign it one value when we declare it. We learn that we must give the const variable a value right away, if not, we will get an error. Also, if we try and reassign a const's value later on, we also will get an error. Understanding this about the const JavaScript keyword is important in understanding the difference between const, and the let and var variables.
