There are so many different ways to diffuse your curls so I thought I would make a few videos to show the different methods
.
This particular method is called Pixie Diffusing
.
Pixie diffusing is where you try to minimise any air from the diffuser that isn’t directly onto your curls, either when putting it up to your hair or taking it away. The aim of this technique is to reduce frizz caused from diffusing
.
As you can see in the video, when I pixie diffuse I make sure that I place sections of my curls in the diffuser head before turning it on
.
I use the lowest speed setting and the coolest heat setting. Using the lowest speed setting will minimise the force of the air on your curls, thus minimising the curl clumps coming apart. Using the coolest setting is the best option for your curls as too high of a heat can damage your curls over time. For me hair health is my main aim so the cool setting is a must
.
I find that this method works really well if you struggle with frizz from diffusing. It’s gentle on your curls and helps keep them clumped together
