Using GitHub or Bitbucket allows you to collaborate with teams and store your code in a safe, remote repository. I always feel better knowing if something happens to my computer, my code will not be lost. While it can be intimidating, It's important to learn! Hopefully I made it a little easier for you. In my opinion, using GitHub with Xcode directly is the easiest approach.
