In this video, I demonstrate how to make digital soap bubble photographs (but you can use film if you like).

You Will Need:

A large bubble wand or a coat hanger
Soap Bubble Liquid or glycerin and dish soap
A tray to dip your bubble wand in.
A tripod
A photography studio light or torch
A black background (wall, piece of fabric, paper)
Camera. I used 18-55mm lens, but a macro lens would be better.

Steps:

1. Make Bubble Wand - you can make one from an old metal coat hanger which you can bend into a circle shape.
2. Make Soap Bubble Liquid. You can make this with dish soap and glycerin.
3. Pour bubble liquid into a tray.
4. Attach bubble wand onto tripod, and carefully dip bubble wand into bubble liquid. Don't move too fast or the bubble might pop.
5. Find a black background and put the light opposite this background. But the bubble wand in between the light and the background, and you should start to see the amazing bubbly shapes!
6. Take photographs! I made life easier for myself by shooting on automatic. My lens is 18-55mm but a macro lens would be ideal.
