Few commonly used string handling functions are:

strlen() computes string's length
strcat() concatenates(joins) two strings
strlwr() converts string to lowercase
strupr() converts string to uppercase
strrev() reverse the string
strcmp() compares two strings
strcpy() copies a string to another
