Lua Wrappers emulate script execution by "wrapping" vanilla lua over Roblox's lua environment, which allows you to interact with it without (or almost without) having a lot of your code being ran by Roblox's environment, but instead running alongside it and manipulating it with the Lua C API, etc.

Protoconversion is sort of the opposite since your own code is being ran by Roblox. Pretty much get your lua proto, convert it to roblox's format, then get roblox to run it.

A ProtoWrapper (Make by C5Hackr#4664) is like a better version of a protoconversion because it injects a remake of roblox lua into the game and executes scripts off of the lua remake giving almost full access to the roblox instance/environment unlike a wrapper and a protoconversion.
