Python tutorial #3 - Strings & String Methods
Programers deal with text on a daily basis , collection of text in python are called strings. Special Function we use to manipulate strings in python are called string methods. Don’t worry if you don’t understand what functions or methods.
There are string methods for changing a string from lowercase to uppercase, removing white spaces, and many more.
What is the String Data type?
First let’s define what a data type is : in simple terms data types refer to the kind of data a value represents. Strings represent text.in python we denote a string simple by putting single or double quotes around text. in the earlier examples when we declared our name variable we used quotes around it. That was a string. also know as a string literal. #python #pythonprogramming
