This video describes how the Unity GUI (Graphic User Interface) system renders elements (top to bottom in the hierarchy) and a simple way to re-sort objects in the UGUI canvas using interfaces in the eventsystem namespace.

The UGUI system is a great system to use for menus, screen overlays and many other elements in a game or interactive. This basic tutorial is a foundation concept that can be built upon for many more complex interactive components.
