In this video, I will show you how to programmatically add a new item to the select list using react select creatable. React select is a powerful reactjs package to build customizable dropdowns in react. The creatable component of this package will let you dynamically add new items to the dropdown list.

By watching this video, You will also learn how to build a tags input in React using react select creatable. It is a bit different from the first component but you only need to add a new state for inputValue and a key down event listener to create options whenever the user press enter or tab button. I tried to explain every step to build this customizable dropdown and if you have any question, please share with me in the comment section.
