Synchronizing Eclipse with local AEM instance: Once you install the AEM developer tool and importing the project. Go thothe AEM perspective.
Now , click on servers icon and add a new server here. Change the setting to point to local aem instance in the terminal tha Eclipse uses. Now, start the server to sync you aem project.
You can also select AEM console to see what AEM plugin is doing.
In the apps, create a new node of type cq_content, name it dummy. Right click on it and click on export to server and open the crx/de console you will see the changes. Add the property from the property console in dummy component using crx console. Now from the eclipse right click and select import from server, you will find the change in Eclipse
THis way you can synchronize you project of AEM with the local server.
