To perform JMeter performance testing in non-GUI mode, we can follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a Test Plan
Launch JMeter and create a new Test Plan.
Configure the desired number of users, ramp-up period, and loop count to simulate realistic user behavior.
Step 2: Add HTTP Request Defaults
Right-click on the Thread Group and add a Config Element
Step 3: Add HTTP Sampler
Right-click on the Thread Group and add a Sampler
Step 4: Add Listeners
Right-click on the Thread Group and add a Listener to view the test results.
Step 5: Save the Test Plan
Step 6: Run the Test in Non-GUI Mode
Open a terminal or command prompt.
Navigate to the JMeter bin directory.
Step 7: Analyze the Results
Once the test completes, We can open the generated .jtl file in JMeter or use any compatible tool (e.g., Apache JMeter, Apache JMeter Plugins) to analyze the results and extract performance metrics like response time, throughput, error rate, etc.
