Replication takes the same data and copies it over multiple nodes.
Replication is the process of synchronise data across multiple servers.
Replication provides redundancy and increases data availability with multiple copies of same data on different database servers.
Replication protects a database from the loss of a single servers.
Replication also allows you to recover data from hardware failure and service interruptions.
With additional copies of the data you can achieve disaster recovery and backup.
Replication comes in two forms. They are :
1. Master- slave replication.
2. Peer-to-peer replication.
