Data visualisation is key to effectively communicating your story using data! R has many plotting functions built into the base package and these are a great starting point for visualising data in R. In this tutorial we will take a look at the basic plot function and see the power of R with just how customisable these plots are!

R is a free and open source object-oriented programming language. Its used by data analysts and data scientists for a vast range of tasks, from simple data visualisation all the way up to machine learning. This series is for anyone who is entirely new to programming, or just new to R as a language and wants to learn the fundamentals.
