Welcome to Lecture 23 of my Python for Beginners series! In this video, we'll explore game development using Pygame Zero (pgzrun). You’ll learn how to start creating simple games, and we’ll dive into key concepts of game logic, including player movement, adding obstacles, and handling user input.
In this lecture, we'll walk through definitions and do some fun coding activities together using pgzrun. By the end of the session, you’ll be comfortable with adding interactivity to your game and handling basic game flow.
Practice Questions:
1-Create a game where a player character moves left and right using arrow keys.
2-Add an obstacle to your game and write code to detect when the player hits it.Make your player character jump by pressing the spacebar.
Add a score that increases every second during the game.
3-Write a game over condition that stops the game when the player touches an obstacle.
*Quiz Question:
In pgzrun, which function is used to update the game state each frame?
draw()
update()

Be sure to complete the practice questions and quiz to sharpen your skills! If you're finding these tutorials helpful, don't forget to subscribe and stay tuned for more beginner-friendly coding tutorials. Keep coding and creating!
