Learn Basic Programming by example - A Simple Image Processor - Part 10.1
Learn how to program in PureBasic. Follow the development step by step of a simple image processing application.
In this two-part episode, I add the Save and Save As features. I create a Save and a Save As... menu entry in the File menu. The Save menu saves the image back to its original file and format. The Save As menu opens a child window that lets the user choose the file path, the image format, and the (optional) compression level.
I also enabled or disabled the Save menu depending on whether the image has been modified or not.
To select the file, I use a SaveFileRequester. To check if the file exists, I use the FileSize command.
The first part of this episode is dedicated to refactoring the code, by using a structure to keep the image information.
