The answer to how easy is it to create a Visual Basic exploit is very easy! The reason is that Visual Basic for Applications can allow access to the underlying Win32 API layer. This provides the ability for visual basic exploits to do whatever it wants to do with the computer.

Metasploit is hosted on Linux and is written in the Ruby programming language.

COM is an abbreviation of Component Object Module and can be used to write modular programs that operate using known interfaces between the different objects.This exploit works by overwriting function pointers within the object with values that point to binary code that has been supplied within the Visual Basic Application code.
