Basic tutorial on the expandable button binding I used for a few of my journals and albums recently. Very simple and easy to do, easier than ribbon bindings to turn pages and less bulky than rings. I have not seen this as a binding before but I have seen similar as a closure. You can double up on elastic cord if you can fit it through the buttons, you can also plait it if it is lightweight. Elastic bands,and large elastic hair ties can be used. You can also use large beads instead of buttons. Lots of possibilities.
Excuse the messy fingers, I have been giving the distress inks a workout today :)
