How can SharePoint HTTP requests be used to create better Power Automate flows? And how should the SharePoint REST API be queried? What exactly needs to be entered in the URI, header, and body of an HTTP request?

In this Power Automate example, I'll show you in detail how Power Automate workflows can be optimized by using HTTP requests. And how you can use features that aren't implemented by default.

The video focuses on updating metadata via HTTP requests instead of using the "Update file properties" function. I'll demonstrate examples of updating various column types, including SharePoint multi-select columns, date columns, and URL columns with URL and description.

I'll use both the URI with the `validateUpdateListItem` endpoint and the standard endpoint for list items.

In the video, I'll also share my experience with approval workflows. I use HTTP requests in flows to, for example, retrieve check-in comments or SharePoint group memberships.
