Create React App is DEAD! Stop Using Create React App Right Now!
Stop using create react app to install react js. Create React App was initially created to simplify React setup by bundling tools like webpack, Babel, and ESLint, which were complex to configure manually in early React days. It significantly lowered the barrier for new React developers, making React more accessible.
But Create React App is officially deprecated now. If you go to their github page, its mentioned there:
"Create React App was one of the key tools for getting a React project up-and-running in 2017-2021, it is now in long-term stasis and we recommend that you migrate to one of React frameworks documented on Start a New React Project.
If you are following a tutorial to learn React, there is still value in continuing your tutorial, but we do not recommend starting production apps based on Create React App."
Instead use Next.JS, Remix or Gatsby.
There were many problems with 'Create React App' such as:
Lack of Customization
Configuration Complexity
The 'eject' feature, intended for customization, was difficult to manage and maintain. And Managing ejected 'create react app' configurations,
especially with updates to webpack and Node.js, became very challenging.
Also 'create react app' became outdated by 2020. It is recommended to transition to Modern Alternatives as soon as possible.
Use Next.js or Vite. Choose Next.js for full-stack apps and Vite for SPAs. Next.js is now the official recommendation for new React projects, offering features like server-side rendering, routing, and API handling. Vite is recommended as a faster, modern bundler for single-page applications (SPAs).
So do not use 'Create React App' for new projects.
