This video provides a brief overview of my open-sourced 3D eye tracker in Python. It's a heavily optimized port of the C++ repository released in 2017 by me, Yuta, Leszek, and Alex. Unlike the pupil fitter I released last year, this tracker provides the 3D origin and gaze direction for use with many eye tracking applications.

In my next few videos, I will try to provide instructions for getting the tracker working as a gaze cursor for a monitor or AR/VR headset.
For anyone concerned about IR light exposure, I measured these cameras at 3cm away. For consistency/reference, I also measured two other light sources using the same meter:
GC0803 @ 3cm: 3.6 W/m² (0.36 mW/cm²)
Meta quest pro eye tracker @ lens depth: 2.2 W/m² (0.22 mW/cm²)
Ambient light in my hallway (7PM, evening sunlight on floor): 1.3 W/m² (0.13 mW/cm²)
