rm command is a command for removing files and directories.
It is used to perform following:-
To delete single file
To delete multiple files
To delete files interactively
To delete a empty directory
To delete a directory with content
cp stands for copy. This command is used to copy files or group
of files or directory. It creates an exact image of a file on a disk with different file name. cp command with following options:-
cp –i(interactive)
cp –b(backup)
cp –f(force)
The mv command (short form move) is used to rename, move the files and directories from one location to another.mv command with following options
mv –i(interactive)
mv –b(backup)
mv –f(force)
