In this episode, we’re enhancing our marketing data by incorporating sentiment analysis using Python. This step in our data analyst portfolio project is for adding deeper insights into customer feedback.
We'll begin by connecting to our SQL database to retrieve customer reviews data. Following that, we will employ the VADER sentiment analysis tool from the nltk Python library to analyze the emotions conveyed in the reviews. I will go through each step in the script, from computing sentiment scores to classifying them into practical categories, ensuring you understand how to integrate these insights into your data analyst project.
By the end of this tutorial, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge to enrich your marketing data with valuable sentiment information, aiding in more data-driven decision-making—a critical skill for any data analyst.
