I made a simulated total eclipse experience in Unity based on the XR Plugin. I was inspired to make this by a video made by Sebastian Lague, where he used a pixel shader to render the atmosphere around planets ( • Coding Adventure: Atmosphere ). I was curious how the shadow cast by the moon during a total solar eclipse would affect the coloration of the sky, which lead me to make this little visualization. This was just a quick little project I threw together over a weekend, so the performance is not amazing, but I think it looks nice and the visual effects are interesting.
